The Journey of IFGF GISI: 1980 - Beyond

The Conception Time 1980-1985

The birth and movement of IFGF GISI is really one of a kind. It all began in America, then back to Indonesia, and currently spreading to all parts of the world.

Building Strong Roots 1985-1990

As this fellowship grew and as God's love continued to grow in the heart of its founder, this "seed" became a strong and solid root.

Growing Churches 1990-2000

It is these 10 visions that pushed the rapid progress of the IFGF GISI church. In one decade, 4 churches grew to become 200 in 13 countries (USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, England, and Indonesia).

Reengineering 2000-2003

Since the year of 2000, IFGF GISI churches have been empowered to become an Apostolic Denomination to fulfill the Great Commission. This parental leadership creates full support to all local churches worldwide especially in the provision of finances and human resources. Through the Apostolic Denomination, IFGF GISI has been building a network of local churches with the same vision, strong leadership & accountability. With the Apostolic Denomination also, IFGF GISI has become a church that is focused, mission-spirited, and yielding solid results.

United to Bless The Nations 2004-2006

The name of Indonesian Full Gospel Fellowship changed to become International Full Gospel Fellowship. With the spirit of "United to Bless the Nations", IFGF GISI grew to be more than 300 churches in 22 nations.

Dominion Mandate 2006-2009

For the next three years (2006-2009) IFGF GISI has a new vision of bringing more impact not only on our church ministries but on those beyond the four walls of the church. With the theme "Dominion Mandate" IFGF GISI is moving ahead to become a blessing for communities, the marketplace, and many other areas of life including the economy and education sectors.(Psalm 8:5-7)

The 2006 World Conference has also birthed a new global movement that is "One Soul, One pastor, One Church". Through this movement every IFGF GISI

congregation in every local church is challenged to care, love and win more souls; one person winning at least one soul every year and making evangelism a lifestyle in our church. Leaders are also challenged to develop and produce new leaders for the works of ministry. And finally, the heart of "One Church" is a church planting movement where IFGF GISI is planning to plant thousands of churches around the world by the year 2009.

Unshakeable Generation 2009-2013

Entering the 30th year of the IFGF GISI movement, it must begin to think about and prepare the succeeding generation in the IFGF GISI leadership. The new generation that is unshakable must be seriously prepared, just as has been prophecied in the Bible.

Hebrews 12:28 says, "Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe."

This is because God has created a new generation to carry on the next cycle of our lives, and because God has a plan for each generation to use it to accomplish His purpose.

Psalms 145:4 says, "Generation after generation stands in awe of your work; each one tells stories of your mighty acts."

This talks about a generation that is going to be:

(I) A History Maker;

(ii) Conqueror of the Earth (Dominion Mandate);

(iii) God's Witness (Mission Oriented).
