Beat Conference @ East Indonesia

BEAT CONFERENCE @ EAST INDONESIA

IFGF GISI BEAT CONFERENCE in East Indonesia RC took place from 27 – 29 May 2010 in His leading. The program of BEAT CONFERENCE consisted of workshops with Pdt. S.A. Rustanto and Aminoto Kosin as speakers who taught about how to raise the quality of the Praise & Worship ministry and the relationship between a Worship Leader and the musicians; these were done in three sessions. Approximately 80 participants, plus 22 ICPI students, were excited to be in this program, which happened to be themed "GOING STRONG". It took place inside the ICPI Tomohon area (about 20 km from Manado's city center). And to ICPI itself, this program makes up a course called "Ministry Skills: Praise & Worship".

As one agenda in the work calendar of East Indonesia RC, BEAT CONFERENCE was held with the main purpose of standardizing the praise & worship ministry in all IFGF GISI in East Indonesia. At the same time, a strong foundation for BEAT ministry was to be laid. Dicky Kairupan as Head of Committee hoped, "That through this activity, activists of the BEAT ministry in East Indonesia could catch the vision and extraordinary anointing of the speakers, so that they may use them in the ministry."

The BEAT CONFERENCE received a positive response from all participants. And they didn't just come from IFGF GISI; in fact, there were four participants from GPdI (Pentecostal Church in Indonesia) Tondano, one from GPdI Manado, and one from the Bethany Church Indonesia Manado.

"I am satisfied and really blessed with the IFGF GISI BEAT CONFERENCE. Hats off to the speakers," remarked Dion, a participant from GPdI Manado.

Positive responses also came from delegates of East Indonesia. "Through this conference, we realize that the essence of a music ministry is the character, personality, and emotion of the musician himself. The worship of the musician will open ways for the worship of the church," explained Santy Siaman of IFGF GISI Gorontalo. The same thing was heard from Jaka of IFGF GISI Manado. The most important lesson he got was that the core of a Praise & Worship ministry is a ministry of impartation and experiencing God in one's daily ministry activities.

The BEAT CONFERENCE was ended with a Praise & Worship event in Blue Banter Manado. About 200 people rejoiced together in praise and worship supported by a unique arrangement of the stage.
