Eat Pray Love by Rev. Dr Jimmy OentoroReally…the bottom line is PEOPLE! Whatever we do, it's not the program, not the performance, nor the event. But, our church is about people. People, is Our Mission!

This is Our ChurchThis is our Church
What makes a church great? Is it the grandiose size of the building? Is it the exciting programs or famous pastor? No! What makes a church great is its people! Bridget Williard once said, "Church isn't where you meet. Church isn't a building. Church is what you do. Church is who you are. Church is the human outworking of the person of Jesus Christ. Let's not go to Church, let's be the Church." You and I are the IFGF GISI church and I am proud to be part of IFGF GISI church. This is our church, a church born of passion and run with a vision.
A Goal![]() A great boxer will not strike at random. A good football player will not kick a ball at random. They will do it for a goal. A goal-directed and has a value in life.
Envisioning GOD's Greater Works
ENVISIONING GOD'S GREATER WORKS by Pdt. DR. Budi Hidajat, President IFGF GISI Worldwide
![]() I have just come back from a wonderful ministry in Harvest Festival Africa which was held in four different locations: Mbarara, Kono, Bo, and Freetown. When IFGF GISI first started in the 80's, never did we imagine of going into territories far beyond the borders of our country. But the vision to see multitudes come to Christ, and the passion to see it happen, kept our prayers and movement going strong and bigger to this day!
Coming back from my first trip to Africa last May 2010, I witnessed God's work through RCCG, which is the largest church in Africa with 7 million congregate members. Ps. Odeboye, Senior Pastor of the church who was once chosen as the 49th most influential person in the world by Newsweek, has aspirations which are outsize. "He wants to save souls, and he wants to do so by planting churches the way Starbucks used to build coffee shops: everywhere" (The Newsweek, 20 December 2008). It is such an outlandish vision, but he believes in his God and he believes in miracles. God uses the ordinary to accomplish great things. We just need to stay faithful to our visions, stay available, and stay submissive to God's will. Let me encourage all of you in the ministry today, to continue in your faith to serve our great God through your special gifting in the ministry. I believe we can together serve to realize IFGF GISI's great visions for the next 3 years in our ministry accomplished. Our visions have been summarized into the 5 Agenda of IFGF GISI: CHURCH PLANTING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, CHURCH DEVELOPMENT, MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT, and ORGANIZATION (Good Governance). It is not for our own glory that we thrive to accomplish many things ahead, but for His glory so He could win many people & communities to bring them into His House! Praying & Fasting![]() PRAYING & FASTING
There are many reasons why people fast. In the Old Testament we find Daniel fasting and praying to confess the sin and ask for God's forgiveness over Israel (Daniel 9). David prayed and fasted for his sick enemies (Psalm 35:13). Meanwhile, King Ahab humbled himself before God so calamity may pass over him (1 Kings 21:25-29).
